TV personality and business woman Bevy Smith, known for her work as a co-host on Bravo's fashion-themed talk show Fashion Queens alongside Miss Lawrence and Derek J, recently appeared on Fox Soul’s “The House” and discussed being an ally.

She shared that though she has been embraced by the community, she knows her “place”.

“There are terms that I can not use…like I would never say the “F” word. Some people have been like ‘oh you can use it”…but I’m not because I’m not of the community.”

The conversation then caused for co-host Aaron to suggest that gay men should stop using the “B” word when referring to women, stating that it is a derogatory term for women and that “gay men should be an ally to women” by not using the term.

Gayes, we have an interesting question, should gaye men stop saying the ‘B’ word when speaking to women?
