On Wednesday this past week, Madonna not only announced her upcoming world-wide tour, The Celebration Tour but also that Bob the drag Queen would be joining her at every stop of it.
The season eight Drag Race winner and fan favorite featured in a video alongside a plethora of other celebrities in a black and white video, where Madonna and the crew were playing truth or dare. The group included Jack Black, Amy Schumer Judd Apatow, Lil Wayne, Eric Andre, and of course Bob the Drag Queen, though without her usual glam.
After many risqué dares and truths, Schumer finally dares Madonna to go on tour, to which the pop queen coyly asks, “Do you think anyone would come?”
Madonna then announced that Bob, (a.k.a Caldwell Tidicue, a.k.a Christopher Caldwell) would not only be a special guest but would be an opener for her on tour. It is not yet specified what the act will be, whether comedy or music, but it will definitely be something as iconic as the tour itself.
Bob, who identifies as nonbinary and goes by the pronouns she/her and he/him, posted a sweet throwback of her time on season 8 of Drag Race during her runway challenge, “Night of a Thousand Madonnas’”. In the throwback, she is wearing Madonna’s boy scout outfit from when the pop star attended the 2013 GLAAD Awards.
The tweet was captioned, "We've come a long way!"
Tickets to the tour are available here. The tour will start on July 15th, 3023, and wrap up on December 2nd of the same year.
