
CBS Network announced Thursday (May 5) that its hit drama "The Equalizer", starring Queen Latifah, has been renewed for two more seasons.
The news comes after the show became the network's #1 scripted series on Sundays, averaging 9.46 million viewers. Season to date, the show has amassed 1.2 billion potential social media impressions, according to CBS.
The legendary actress shared the two-season renewal on Instagram along with a teaser video: "It’s official! Two more seasons of action and equalizing are on the way. See you for Season 3...and 4! #TheEqualizer"
Thom Sherman, senior executive vice president of programming at CBS Entertainment, shared his thoughts on the renewal, stating: "The Equalizer continues to pack a powerful punch on Sunday nights, and we’re thrilled to have it back for two more seasons."

The series is executive produced by Wilson, Glass, Marlowe, Miller, Dana Owens (Queen Latifah), John Davis, John Fox, Debra Martin Chase, original Equalizer series creator Richard Lindheim), Shakim Compere and Joseph C. Wilson. Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, produces in association with CBS Studios.
