YouTube star Zach Campbell had an opportunity to interview R&B duo Chloe x Halle on one his infamous Skype calls. During these Skype calls, Zach is known for giving his unfiltered opinion to help musical artists advance in the music industry and in popularity.
Zach’s advice and commentary during his YouTube Skype calls has recently become a huge success, attracting the attention of NickiMinaj, Cardi B, Iggy Azalea, Tinashe and now Chloe and Halle!
During their chat, Chloe and Halle discussed their new album Ungodly Hour and how it feels to be signed by Beyoncé. The duo also finally broke their silence and responded to the backlash that Halle received after being cast as Ariel in the upcoming live action movie,The Little Mermaid.
As expected, Halle gracefully responded, “Words hurt...but at the end of the day I just had to realize that I’m very blessed and I’m so grateful and honored to even take on this role and make Ariel mine...and show other Black girls that yes you can be a princess and yes your skin is beautiful.”
Her sister Chloe quickly followed up with, “Everyone is gonna eat their words once they hear her sing these songs!”
