We Stan an Active Ally! Don Cheadle hosted Saturday Night Live this weekend and used his platform to give a powerful political message for the world to see.
During the introduction of blues rock musician Gary Clark Jr.’s performance for “This Land”, Don wore a black shirt with the white letters that read “Protect Trans Kids”.
His verbal introduction did not bring direct attention to his choice of dress, however he made sure he stood proudly with his hands behind his back to bring attention to the message.
Don’s statement cause numerous appreciative tweets from people on Twitter. It is so heartwarming to see someone with a large platform bring awareness to LGBT issues. Thank you, Mr. Cheadle for allowing our voices to be heard.
