2020 has been a tough year for us all, but things are finally starting to turn around. Joe Biden is now the President-elect of the United States. A member of the Democratic Party, he and running mate Kamala Harris won against President Donald Trump. Biden previously served as the 47th Vice President of Barack Obama from 2009 to 2017 and shared similar views for change.
The presidential votes were immediately counted after the U.S General election day on Wednesday. According to CNN the last results where Joe Biden scoring 279 votes and Donald Trumps scoring 213 votes. Pennsylvania's 20 electoral votes put Biden over the 270 electoral votes needed to win.
He expressed his Gratitude on twitter and can't wait to lead our great country.

Biden will have his very own Vice President just as he was for Barack Obama. He had chosen American politician and attorney Kamala Harris who will be the nation’s first Black and South Asian vice president, and first woman to hold that office.
Both representative are of the Democratic Party and both have advocated for racial justice, LGBT Rights, Abortion laws and immigrant citizenship. Biden told New York Times that, "Men, women, gay, straight, center, across the board, Black, white, Asian... It really matters that you look like the country, because everyone brings a slightly different perspective."After winning Vice President, Harris admitted on twitter that we all still have a lot of work to do.

Biden and Harris will assume office January 20, 2021 during a public ceremony referred to as the Inauguration. During that process Donald Trump will transition out of the White House and a new Change will begin.
