Kanye Uses Anti-LGBT Biblical Book as Inspiration for New Yeezy Collection

Kanye is receiving a bit of backlash for using the Book of Leviticus as his new fashion inspiration for his collaboration with Adidas. Talking to Forbes, he read out Leviticus 19:19:

“You should keep my statutes. You should not let your cattle breed with a different kind. You shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor shall you wear a garment of cloth made of two kinds of material.... A lot of my creative friends, I tell them, like, the Bible is better than Pinterest. You can bring something into space and time we exist in, while reflecting thousands of years of truth.”

His new direction is like "a soundtrack to the visuals and the shapes and the ideas and ideals of what we’re creating,” and that means that all the upcoming shoe collections will come from the same cloth.

The Book of Leviticus also inspires a lot of controversy around homosexuality, such as Leviticus 18:22 which says,

“You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.”

Leviticus 20:13 reiterates,

“If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.”

According to newnownext.com, Kanye and Kim had gifted Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, known for his anti-LGBTQIA stance, a pair of autographed Yeezys. Some may consider Kanye's affection for the biblical book to be a coincidence. Others are a bit skeptical.

#Gayes, do you think Kanye is in the wrong or is this simply a huge oversight?
