Hey Gayes! Something really cute is happening with some of your favorite cereals in honor of Spirit Day! Kellogg has partnered with the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD).
With this partnership, Kellogg released a cereal called "All Together," which mixes cereals and their mascots in order to support anti-bullying and LGBTQ advocacy work.
Kellogg released a statement about their new release saying, "We all belong together, so for the first time in history, our famous mascots and cereals are offered exclusively together in the same box for "All Together Cereal". It's a symbol of acceptance no matter how you look, where you're from or who you love."
The cereals are packaged individually inside a purple box, and you can choose which cereals you want to mix; the idea of the release is to promote inclusion. The box contains smaller boxes of Corn Flakes, Froot Loops, Frosted Flakes, Frosted Mini Wheats, Raisin Bran, and Rice Krispies. YUM! These different cereals symbolizes the different factions of the LGBTQ community who are also "all together".
Kellogg has donated $50,000 to GLAAD to support their LGBTQ advocacy. GLAAD released a statement saying, “We are proud to partner with Kellogg's again this year to help extend the important message of Spirit Day to households across the country.”
A box of All Together cereal costs $19.99 and is available on the Kellogg’s website. How many of you are purchasing? Let us know your thoughts!
