An audience member who snuck their phone onto the Broadway play, “Take Me Out” recently snapped Grey’s Anatomy star Jesse Williams (Dr. Jackson) on Monday, showing off his own anatomy during a nude shower scene shared with cast member, Patrick J. Adams.
The 40 yr old Tony nominated actor shared with the New York Post that he was terrified putting his body on display for the show's lead role, but then noticed this is what GOD asked for.
“I asked to be terrified. I asked to do something that was scary and challenging and made me earn it and made me feel alive and not comfortable.”
In the play, Williams plays a baseball player named Darren Lemming who reveals he is gay while at the pinnacle of his athletic career. The character is later confronted off the field by deep-rooted, homophobic and racist prejudices.
During the scene, Jesse grips his male co-star from behind, then roughly kisses him before releasing his embrace.
During the scene of the leaked video, Jesse says, "That's our little secret, you dumb cracker f*ck!"
Before viewing the play, all spectators are required to place their phones and smart devices in a sealed Yondr case before the show “out of respect and support for our actors and in order to create a phone-free space,” according to 2nd Stage Theater’s website.
Displayed all over Twitter, his package has gotten everyone and their gaye friends in their feelings.
Williams and Adams dive a little into their bromance and work partnership on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.
Though Williams hasn’t commented publicly on the locker room scene that has went viral, the nearly sold out play is still ongoing from the orchestra to the mezzanine until June 2022.
