Noah’s Arc: The Movie has officially broken into the Top 10 list on Paramount+, currently ranking at #4 within the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan section. This groundbreaking milestone makes Noah’s Arc: The Movie the first all-Black gay film to reach this level of streaming success on the platform.
Actor Rodney Chester, who reprises his beloved role as Alex in the film, took to Instagram to share his excitement:
“Noah's Arc is trending in the top 5 movies on Paramount...thank you fans!”

The film premiered Friday, June 20, exclusively for Paramount+ subscribers with the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan and simultaneously aired at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Written, produced, and directed by the show's original creator Patrik-Ian Polk, the movie marks a triumphant return for the beloved series that first made waves in the early 2000s as the first television series centered on Black gay men.
Following the events of the 2020 special Noah’s Arc: The ‘Rona Chronicles, the new installment dives deeper into the lives of fan-favorite couple Noah and Wade, now fathers-to-be expecting twins. But their joy is quickly complicated when both are offered their dream jobs, leaving them to navigate tough decisions about career ambitions and parenthood.
As previously reported by Gaye Magazine in 2023, Polk confirmed the revival during his on-stage appearance at the “I AM” Awards. The anticipation for this film has been steadily building ever since—and the response has proven that the wait was more than worth it.
The cultural and historical impact of Noah’s Arc continues to resonate with audiences nearly two decades after its original debut. Its recent success on Paramount+ serves as a testament to the enduring power of authentic, inclusive representation.
Gaye Magazine sends a warm congratulations to Patrik-Ian Polk and the entire cast and crew of Noah’s Arc: The Movie on this historic achievement!
