FX's groundbreaking, Emmy Award-winning drama "Pose" will come to an end with its previously announced third season. The final season will debut on Sunday, May 2 at 10/9c with two episodes. Sadly, the series will total an abbreviated seven episodes, with the series scheduled to air June 6. According to FX, the final season's storyline will jump ahead to 1994.

"We got to tell the exact story we wanted, as we wanted to tell it, and I'm incredibly honored and grateful," co-creator Ryan Murphy said in a statement Friday.

Let us remember some of the achievements POSE accomplished as it made actor Billy Porter become the first openly gay man to win the lead actor Emmy and writer Janet Mock ranking as the first trans woman of color hired to write and direct an episode of television.

Pose stars Mj Rodriguez as Blanca, Dominique Jackson as Elektra, Indya Moore as Angel, Ryan Jamaal Swain as Damon, Hailie Sahar as Lulu, Angel Bismark Curiel as Lil Papi, Dyllon Burnside as Ricky, Sandra Bernhard as Judy and Billy Porter as Pray Tell.
