Gayes, we have great news! VH1 has renewed RuPaul’s Drag Race for season 14! The news for renewal follows the show’s season 13 finale becoming the most-watched episode of the series since the Season 10 finale in 2018.
As we previously reported, Symone was crowned "America's Next Drag Superstar" for season 13. Thanks to a six-network simulcast premiere, the finale had the largest-ever collective audience of 1.3 million viewers.
The grand finale also finished with a 0.61 rating, marking it as the highest-rated episode of the season (+39% vs. season to-date) and it had the best share in franchise history (3.11), according to Deadline.
The network also greenlit another edition of RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race, a spin-off featuring celebs teaming with alumni from the show for a chance to become America's Next Celeb Drag Superstar, with prize money going to charity.
“RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked,” which features all the drama and green room conversations behind the scenes of “Drag Race,” is also being renewed.
RuPaul reacted to the news of his three signature shows being renewed:
"I am extremely grateful to all the amazing and talented Drag Race queens — past, present, and future — that continue to inspire us to find new ways to tell their stories," RuPaul said in a statement. "Through love, light, and laughter, they remind all of us that the most powerful thing you can do is to become the image of your own imagination."
