As we recently reported, Morehouse College has announced that they will allow transgender men to enroll into their college in 2020. There has been positive feedback on the announcement, but there have been negative feedback as well. Apparently, during Morehouse college's graduation for the class of 2019, Westboro Baptist Church was protesting against their transgender men policy announcement
If you don't know much about Morehouse, it's a historically black college for African American males, a school that housed legends such as, Martin Luther King Jr, Spike Lee, Maynard Jackson, Samuel L. Jackson, and etc. So to say the least, this college birthed legends and greats for all generations.
WXIA-TV televised the demonstrators from the Kansas-based Church appearing outside of Morehouse College in Atlanta on Sunday during the school's class of 2019 graduation ceremony. There were reports that the same group of demonstrators protested outside of Spelman College and Clark Atlanta University. The group protested at Spelman college due to the fact that there is a student group that supports the LGBTQ community.
The church demonstrators protested at Clark Atlanta University because one of the school's graduation speakers lied about "Jesus Christ and His Word."
What are your thoughts on the matter? Do you think they did the absolute most on protesting at three of these colleges/university graduations or do you think they had a right to practice their rights? Other than that, congratulations to the class of 2019.
