The former mayor of Tallahassee and former candidate for governor, Andrew Gillum will be going into rehab following the events of the incident that took place in a Miami hotel recently.

As we previously reported, Andrew Gillum was caught up in a hotel scandal after he was found intoxicated with two other men in a Miami hotel. The police were called to the hotel and found an intoxicated Gillum with one man being resuscitated and the other man collapsed. The police had found crystal meth in the hotel room that he was found in but, he denied using the substance. The collapsed man, identified as Travis Dyson, was later allegedly found to be advertising male escort services.

Since then, Gillum said in a statement, "This has been a wake-up call for me". The New York Times reports.

Gillum then said he went into a depression after his race for Governor had ended which turned into him abusing alcohol.

Gillum apologized to his friends, family and the people that supported him during his race for Governor of Florida. He talked about watching his father deal with alcohol abuse and not getting help so he is going to get the help that he needs.

What do y'all think about this, Gayes?
