TikTok Creator Rory Teasley (2PUMP4TV) Dies After Boyfriend Allegedly Choked Him Over a Video Game

Updated: Jan 13, 2022

28 year old TikTok star Rory Teasley, better known as 2PUMP4TV, was found Thursday night (Jan. 6) after his boyfriend of 10 years Docquen Jovo Watkins, 31, called 911 and allegedly said that he and his boyfriend had gotten into a fight at their apartment and is now “sleeping” on the couch.

However, upon arrival at the scene, deputies found Teasley unconscious and not breathing, Oakland County authorities said in a press release. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to Michigan police investigators, Watkins and Teasley were playing the multiplayer shooter game "Overwatch" and got into a heated argument. During the argument, Watkins choked Teasley to death, authorities said.

Watkins was booked at the Oakland County Jail on Friday and charged with second-degree murder the following Sunday. He is due in court for a probable cause conference on January 18 at Pontiac's 50th District Court, according to the police press release.

Watkins had a prior misdemeanor conviction for malicious destruction of property, according to authorities.

“We see far too often across the country these days when people resort to violence over trivial and insignificant disagreements,” Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said.

“There is never a reason where violence is acceptable over a disagreement. Those who do so will be held accountable.”

Teasley had over 200 thousand followers and was known for his viral dance and comedy videos on TikTok, in which he called himself "Everybody Gay Bestfriend". His most popular video that accumulated over 2.5 million views was his TikTok dance video to Beyoncé's "Freakum Dress". His followers has since shared their condolences upon hearing about his death.
