EXCLUSIVE: Tré Melvin (AKA Watermelondrea) is taking things to the next level!

The former YouTube star, who’s known for his weekly web series, “This Is A Commentary”, bring fans a never before seen short film, "My Ex-Husband Married My Brother", which is set to premiere in London on Saturday, Oct. 30th of this year.

Though you may be used to his sketch, comedy viral videos, this new short film will showcase a side of Melvin you’ve never seen before. Not only is he directing the film himself but will also play the main character, Malachi.

Tré Melvin expressed with Gaye Magazine™ exclusively on the feeling of his short film coming to life,

“I’ve been working on this for a long time. I’m very very proud of it and I can’t wait for every one to see it.“

Tré Melvin As Malachi

The big announcement came on Oct. 16, just weeks before Halloween. Tré Melvin teamed up with Buffer Festival in London to bring us inside the life of a single father who enjoys interior design, but soon things take a turn when Malachi, along with his 10-year-old-son, get evicted.

Unfortunately, his last resort is to visit an unlikely couple - his ex-husband and his brother.

At this time, there is no date confirmed for the film to be released to the public outside of scheduled film festivals, but Melvin gave Gaye Magazine™ a few exclusive details on what fans can expect.

"I'm not sure when I'm going to release it to the public, but...I wanna make this big, and I want ya'll to know that it's on the way!"

"I haven't put a trailer together yet, I will, I don't really know where to start because...I don't know exactly what I want to put in the trailer because of the way that the film is set up and I don't want to spoil specific parts of it," he shared with Gaye.

Even though Melvin is best-known for being a story teller, he is also a poet, musician and jewelry creator at heart, which has inspired many people to do what they love.
