This week, music excellence took center stage at the Recording Academy’s GRAMMY House: A Celebration of Black Creators. The talent-packed event featured the incomparable Durand Bernarr, “The Lioness of R&B” Teedra Moses, vocal coach veteran Stevie Mackey, and Houston-raised singer Desz. 

Presented by the Recording Academy’s Black Music Collective, the celebration brought together the next wave of Black creators, talent, and professionals that are making an impact in today’s music industry. The special evening opened with remarks from Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. and Black Music Collective, 3x Grammy Award winner and poet, J.Ivy, and artist and songwriter Torae Carr.

The program continued with a performance by Chair of the Board of Trustees Dr. Chelsey Green with Jeremy Green, followed by a Jam Session hosted by Stevie Mackey, featuring 4x Grammy nominee Durand Bernarr, and a special lineup of guest performers.

Closing out the GRAMMY House programming is the highly anticipated Academy Proud, an event celebrating and amplifying the voices of the queer community and its allies in music. Hosted by Jus10, Academy Proud will include performances by drag icon Sasha Colby, Grammy nominated artist and LGBTQ+ advocate Zara Larsson, and singer-songwriter ZEE Machine

GRAMMY House 2026 is an annual, immersive experience for fans, Recording Academy members, music creators, industry professionals, and rising leaders. This year’s programming will include four days of events, taking place from Wednesday, Jan 28 to Saturday, Jan 31 in Los Angeles, CA. 

Hosted by Trevor Noah, The 68th Annual Grammy Awards will take place Sunday, Feb 1 at the Crypto.com Arena.
