"Smart Guy" actor Omar Gooding recently sat down with RealLyfe Productions to discuss his thoughts on the LGBTQ+ community, actors who portray Gay characters, and Sidney Starr and Family Matters Darius McCrary’s alleged relationship.

Gooding started the interview by calling Starr and McCrary's relationship “scary” and suggested men who date transgender women should inspect their bodies for an Adams apple and verify their medical records before being intimate.

“God bless him. To each his own. As long as he's not sitting there like I didn't know.” Epps said upon the interviewer telling him that McCrary paid for Starr’s sex reassignment surgery.

Gooding’s comments come from McCrary and Starr’s appearance on the No Jumper podcast last October.

During their appearance, Starr told host Adam 22s he underwent bottom surgery, paid for by McCrary’s earnings from his appearance in the 2009 horror film Saw VI

Starr said she developed a crush on McCrary when they first met on the set of Lee Daniels musical drama “Star”“When he was on set I was being very professional but plotting” Starr said.

The couple’s discussion shows how their tight-knit friendship bond eventually developed into a full-blown relationship.

In addition to reacting to their relationship, Gooding also aimed at straight actors playing Queer roles. “Some say it's just acting- but if you kiss a man on the lips it's not just acting”. Epps explained

He also added that aside from Gooding said the sight of watching two queer characters on screen brings him physical discomfort. “The men that can do it are just different types of men,” he said.

Next, he aimed at Denzel Washington alleging a same-sex kiss was cut from the final edit of Gladiator 2. “I am still blaming that on AI” Gooding said before looking directly into the camera and laughing.

Gooding also shared his feelings on black actors dressing in female drag for roles. “When you have us in lipstick and a dress it is emasculating and it is confusing to our children,” he said.

While he admits to finding discomfort in some LGBTQ+ themes in regards to his life he did admit he understands why people identify as transgender or non gender conforming. “There's men and there's women - but there is an in between,” he said.
