Will Tessa Thompson’s Marvel Character, Valkyrie, “Find Her Queen” in Newest Thor Film?

Thor is back & this time it’s Love and Thunder at first sight for many characters including Valkyrie.

The bisexual Avenger, born on Asgard as Brunnhilde, is played by Bisexual actress Tessa Thompson, who made her first Marvel appearance in the 2017 Thor: Ragnarok & later in the 2019 Avengers: Endgame.

Before the New Year, Thor: Love And Thunder News shared via Twitter behind the scenes footage of Marvels newest Project, Thor: Love and Thunder which is set to release July 8th 2022.

The footage shows Tessa Thompson in a black suit and tie while riding her winged horse, Aragorn. A scene that doesn’t shy away from her bisexuality like the deleted scene in Thor: Ragnarok, according to Independent Co.

In 2017, Director of Ragnarok, Taika Waititi shot a scene (which was cut from the film) where a mysterious woman leaves Valkyrie’s bedroom after spending the night with her.

Now, Tessa Thompson looks forward to more open references to the Asgardian’s bisexuality.

“It wasn’t Marvel or Disney or anyone extracting that [scene] because it was an issue…One thing to clarify about that is it was so in passing. I hope we get to that space, where someone’s sexuality is as immaterial as me drinking this green juice.”

Speaking of clarification, Thompson cleared the rumors about her pass lover scene in Thor: Ragnarok, which didn’t get cut but was very “in passing”.

“The woman that dies is her [ Valkyrie ] lover. In performance we were, like, ‘That’s your lover…I played her as a woman that’s queer. I hope that we get to a space, in terms of the stories that we tell, where that’s something that gets to exist, and it doesn’t have to be noteworthy."

Thanks to Screenrant, the good news is that Andy Park, Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development, is positive that things will be different this time.

“Thor: Love and Thunder is pushing the boundaries of what's comfortable and what should be expected. You'll be surprised and push these characters and the visuals go along with that.

The release date of Thor: Love And Thunder is set for 2022 and viewers can expect scenes of “Thunderous Love” & the reason behind Valkyrie's aggressive demeanor.

Believe it or not, It isn’t because she can lift up to 45 tons, when the average Asgardian can only lifts 30 and 25 tons respectively.

Valkyrie is actually longing for her other half and hopes to share the throne after being Crowned King Of Asgard in Avengers: End Game. Thompson spoke freely about the idea during her Thor: Love And Thunder Cosmic Con Panel back in July 2020.

“I think first of all, Umm as “KING” ….as NEW king…she [Valkyrie] needs to find her queen. So that would be her first order of business”

Viewers can expect to see more of Valkyrie long after Thor: Love And Thunder. The unreleased film “The Marvels” is also in the works for 2023 & hopefully Valkyrie is in love by then!

Gaye’s who do you think will share the throne with Valkyrie ?
