Reality television veteran Tiffany “New York” Pollard recently revealed a bombshell revelation regarding her gender identity.

In an interview promoting her new OUTtv reality competition series “Slayers: Wheel of Fate”, Pollard explained she resonates with the non-binary community saying she often identifies with her masculine side over her feminine side. “I really do resonate with non-binary because I feel like we are so dual without even recognizing it,” she told PinkNews. “Because it takes two sexes for us to get here, so some days I may feel a lot more masculine and sometimes I’m super feminine, and that’s OK.”

“The first time I ever really kissed a girl, I think it was in junior high,” she said. “And I knew, and that was fine. It felt good. It felt right.” She went on to say, “You gotta come out of that closet and once you do it’s like, ‘OK wow, this world is open to me in new ways and sweetie, shoving me back in the closet is never going to be an option.’”

This isn’t the first time Pollard has gotten candid about her gender identity and sexual orientation. Back in March 2023 she publicly disclosed she was a part of the LGBTQ+ community in a video posted via Out TV.

In February 2024 Pollard revealed on the Jason Lee Show she identified as queer after being grilled about her relationship with her fiancé by show host Jason Lee.

In the interview, Lee asks Pollard verbatim if she’s queer to which she responded, “I just feel like it’s time for me to really embrace who I am … there are dual sides to us.” she told Lee.

She continued saying “Sometimes, I’m not gonna lie, I feel like a guy. Sometimes I feel like a woman.”

Pollard also hinted at having sexual experiences with women: “I have lived a very, very broad life … I’ve seen it all, I’ve been it all, and you know, I’m good at it all. Real good at it all.”

Audiences first got to know Pollard nearly two decades ago when she appeared as a contestant on the VH1 American reality television dating game show “Flavor of Love” where she competed alongside 20 other contestants to win the heart of Public Enemy front man Flavor Flav. During the show’s first season Pollard became a fan favorite eventually landing her own show titled “I Love New York”. Following two seasons of “I Love New York” Pollard landed two spinoff shows titled “New York Goes To Hollywood” and “New York Goes To Work”.

Following a foray into acting in “Sunday’s Best” alongside Ice Cube and Katt Williams took a break from the spotlight before resurfacing on reality television shows such as “Botched”, “Celebrity Big Brother”, “House of Villains”, and College Hill Celebrity Edition.
