The 37th Annual GLAAD Media Awards will take place March 5 in Los Angeles, spotlighting 291 nominees across 32 categories and reaffirming the organization’s mission to accelerate acceptance and visibility for LGBTQ+ people in media.
This year’s ceremony is led by Emmy and Golden Globe winner Quinta Brunson, who will receive the Vanguard Award for her impact on inclusive storytelling in mainstream entertainment. Brunson, creator and star of “Abbott Elementary,” has been recognized for centering fully realized LGBTQ characters within network television’s most-watched comedy spaces. Comedian and writer Bowen Yang, honored alongside Matt Rogers with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award, is also among the leading figures celebrated this year for amplifying queer joy and cultural commentary across platforms.
GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis said in a statement that the nominees reflect a media landscape where “LGBTQ stories are a winning strategy for a global audience who demands bold and original storytelling.”

The ceremony, presented by official sponsor Hornitos Tequila, will stream on Hulu on March 21. GLAAD executives Sarah Kate Ellis, Rich Ferraro, and Anthony Allen Ramos serve as executive producers, with Jose Useche as producer in partnership with STAMP Event Co.

GLAAD announced that Gilead Sciences will partner with the organization to sponsor the awards and bring HIV awareness, stigma reduction, and treatment education to the red carpet, with a focus on the Southern United States and vulnerable communities disproportionately impacted by HIV. The collaboration will spotlight prevention and care resources as part of the event’s broader commitment to public health equity.
Spanish-language categories continue to expand the awards’ global reach, with nominees including “El fin del amor,” “Mariliendre,” “Mujeres con hombreras,” “Olympo,” and “Serpientes y Escaleras” for Outstanding Scripted Television Series.
