Solange Knowles' son and Beyoncé's nephew Julez Smith Jr. will host his first-ever nightclub event, and yes, it's an LGBTQ+ club!

Julez Smith, the rising model and son of singer-songwriter Solange Knowles will host his first nightclub event on March 13 at Opium Nightclub during the venue’s popular LGBTQ+ night. The event is powered by Rockstars Productions and PS Parties and is expected to bring out Atlanta’s vibrant queer nightlife community.

According to a representative from Smith’s team who spoke exclusively with Gaye Magazine, the 21-year-old model is excited to connect with Atlanta’s LGBTQ+ crowd and emphasized his support for the community.

“Julez is an ally,” the representative shared. “He’s grown up around love and respect for the LGBTQ+ community. His Aunt Beyoncé has always celebrated and honored LGBTQ+ fans, and he’s inspired by that.”

Smith also teased the upcoming appearance directly with fans on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, writing: “Coming to host in ATL next week, shit gon be too turnt.”

This marks Smith’s first official nightclub hosting gig. Aside from this the young creative has already begun building his own identity in the fashion world. In 2024, he made his runway debut during New York Fashion Week, walking for designer Raul Lopez’s label Luar during the Spring/Summer 2024 season. The moment signaled his formal entrance into the fashion industry and positioned him as a rising face to watch.

With Atlanta’s nightlife scene known for blending culture, fashion, and music, Smith’s upcoming appearance at Opium is already generating buzz online. For many fans, the event represents not only a nightlife debut but another step in the young creative’s journey as he continues carving out his own lane.

The event is slated to take place on March 13 from 11 p.m. – 3 a.m. EST. Tickets are available here.
